Gretsch (1976-77) 3 Piece (26" / 13" / 18") Rosewood Jasper Shell / Stop Sign Badge Drum Set

My favorite Gretsch touring kit.  Purchased back in 1976-77, Red Rosewood color, 26" x 14" Bass Drum, 13" Rack Tom (+ new Gretsch suspension mount), could substitute matching 14" Rack Tom if preferred, 18" x 18" Floor Tom.  Jasper shells, stop sign badged, all tags intact, silver sealer.  

Huge Bonham-like tone and sizes will deliver that ‘Great Gretsch Sound’.  Drums were special ordered from Dalhgren Thompson Drum shop in Mpls.  Ludwig classic curved disappearing spurs and Ludwig floor tom mounts / legs were used to replace the original ‘anemic’ Gretsch spurs / floor tom leg mounts.  For the same reason, a Tama dual tom bass drum mount was used on the bass drum.  A removable bass drum brace (attaches through the vent hole) was added to help support the bass drum (and hold a muffle blanket) to add strength to support dual mounted toms (see pictures, this era of Gretsch shells were extremely thin).  The original internal rack / floor tom mufflers are included (but were removed for recording purposes) on these fantastic sounding / looking drums.

Price includes a fiber case for the bass drum and a new Beato soft case for the rack tom. I do not have a case for the 18" floor tom.
