JBL Model L40 Monitors

Pair of JBL L40 speakers used as Studio Monitors (JBL considered them bookshelf, but you'll need a pretty sturdy bookshelf to hold these babies).  10" woofer (both refoamed) 127a and 1" Dome Tweeters (033).  

Yes, but how do they sound? Nice deep tight lows and great highs.   Walnut veneer cabinets are in good shape for their age (I purchased them in 1981 directly from JBL, our sound engineer worked for JBL at the time).  Crossover / L-pads work as expected. Grills in good shape.  8 ohms, 88dB output sound pressure level.  Dimensions:  381mm wide x  584mm height x 302mm depth.  These weigh about 40 lbs each.  These would pair nicely with the Carver receiver also listed on our site… A great addition to your vinyl collection!
